One of our favorite kitchen projects started with a homeowner who wanted something most contractors told them was too complicated. They wanted a large open space, which meant removing multiple walls and raising the ceiling. Before we broke ground, our team crafted every inch of that space on paper, working through every structural detail with our in-house engineer and architect. Can you remove load bearing walls? Yes. We have an in-house structural engineer who handles all load bearing wall removals with full engineering plans and permits. This is one of the things that makes Mayer’s different from most remodeling contractors.
